sound appears to be broken in that mame version for this game, and the nvram issue started (i think in the late 35 cycle). This game requires a default nvram file and Does playback correctly for me using dos mame 35b11 (sound on even though it doesn't work) and with default cfg/nvram files existing.
nvram requiring recordings were grandfathered before sep 15.2001, all other recordings uploaded after that will be dqued if nvram files are required to play them back.
on a side note the easter egg recording

i could not get to playback. but i also don't know what i'm looking for, the inp doesn't appear to drop a credit.

this one works with dos mame no sound and with a default nvram file, it's better than zereod.

I use the record.bat file from MARP when I make a recording, so it can´t be a nvram issue.

Just tested them again, I can get them to playback in both dos and windows command line version.
The last Tapper scores I got confirmed said that they could only be playbacked in dos. So maybe that´s it?

Well, that's rather lame. I can run the DOS version, but it totally messes up my computer when I finish the playback and go back to Windows XP.

Crap... I tried that, and now it doesn't even register the one player start (although it registers the coin). Someone else'll have to confirm those then. Sorry!

all three of these work perfectly using dosmame60 or CLI mame60 and sound and this mame cfg file and with my win98se boot.

Using the provided .cfg file, I was unable to playback any, including this new one.

I confirmed his 3 tapper scores a while back. They could only playback on DMAME with sound. That is probably also the case with this one.
I use Windows 98.

Yah, I use XP.
Why are there compatibility issues between OS'es? That doesn't make sense. We should prolly write mametesters about this one.

yeah oses plenny, even with cli mame, some games don't playback using the same mame.exe on different operating systems. it doesn't make sense but it's the brutal truth.
