I had thought that my bookmark was to "forums.marpirc.net" all along and I was getting redirected to "www.marpirc.net", which I had noticed. (The forum must be at www.marpirc.net\index). Sure enough, my bookmark is actually to "www.marpirc.net", probably for over a year since I got this computer. When you start out on "www." all the links inside you click stay on "www.", whereas if you start on "forums." all the links stay on "forums.". It seems to currently be much more responsive on "forums.".

That solves my problem temporarily with the forum, and might even give somebody troubleshooting another clue as to what's causing the delay with everything else.

MARP pages are still very long to load (more than a minute for each page, except for the forum). Do you know if the problem is being investigated by our beloved web-gurus?

sadly there is no one looking into it. I think this happened before and it was fixed temporarily by someone, I don't recall who this was.

I mentioned it to seymour the last time this happened, and he said he'd look into it. No idea whether he fixed it or not, I heard nothing after that. Unfortunately, this time, no one knows where seymour is...

I sent seymour an e-mail last night, and got a response. He'll look into when he has the time to, likely after the weekend.

Looks like the main page, scoreboard, etc are taking forever to load again. Forum seems to be normal though.

i agree , yesterday it was slow
today it is back to normal.

Yep I noticed this starting yestarday also ..

Seems to happen a few times a year now ..

when ever there is talk about events coming up or something slowness happens
