Hm.... it's an 8bit processor, so I wouldn't have thought they would have done all that effort to handle their own 32bit numbers. Just more likely they were doing what Barry has now confirmed and simply doing the calculations using the screen memory.... it's what I used to do on 8bit machines to handle very large scores and/or numbers.Chad wrote:not that looking at the emulation would answer this entirely, it could just wrap around the 32 bit max number, and either not go higher than 2 billion or 4 billion.

That also explains why the 2 player scoring worked for larger numbers and it had always been a suspicion of mine they were doing it that way....
