I see...so are all three modes going to be split, finally ?
My point with the bell colors was to demostrate that it's easier to make a better score in practice mode than normal mode (also, might be easier to score in special mode than normal mode, but I can't confirm it since I tried special mode just a few times).

Special mode is a fair bit more difficult than the others.

Form what I remember, it was split, then un-split again. Ask Pat, he does the actual splitting.
