Just to make page 10 appear.

I just don't understand how he fails to notice the slow speed. At 40% speed, if you don't notice it, then there's something wrong upstairs.

Average recorded speed: 55.158991%

preload, the point is it should be extremely noticeable when a game is playing at only 40% speed.

Don't you ever check the speed?

Don't you add some frameskip then see the speed increases?

It hardly matters IMHO with the new leaderboard system that appears to be coming soon.

Let's just delete all scores except for first place scores.

This is a lightgun game, you need a steady frameskip, so the -frameskip option is needed (or changed in the GUI). But if he can't managed to figure out how to push F11, then I don't see much hope for him. And playing with sound - how do you miss the sound repeating so often?

Irrelevant.

Yes, I always use a fixed frameskip. I hate automatic/dynamic frameskipping.

Each time I play a game the first time I press F11 and start at fs0 and play it for a level or two and then from the frame rate set fs so I get 100% speed essentially all the time if not all the time.

Also, if I need any frameskip at all, I go from fs0 to fs6 first. If fs6 isn't enough then I use fs8, then fs9, etc.

Beyondf fs9 most games are too unplayable IMHO to really be fun to play with it being that jittery etc.

I totally agree though that if sound was on how could you not notice the skipping/jitterness of the sound and even the video as the speed of that likely is varying also.

Or just delete all hes sports inps. Yes, all.
Nobody ever admits they cheat here.

If someone was to call for a poll to ban him, I would start it...and vote for it.

Enforcing the results would be beyond my purview, however.

Zwaxy and the editors would have to do that.

this shouldn't be answered by a single user poll, it should be a policy for all users that we'll apply to him, like a three strikes kind of thing and you're out for a certain time. He was defineilty caught before useing autofire/slowdown detection so he's well beyond three strikes. Having a slow computer is an excuse once, but not so many times.

But, in my opinion, something should happen....and won't.

I'm told it has never happened before, so there is no precedent for such a poll but "Any vote may be called by any member of MARP."

I'm just saying I'd start it. What happened after that would be out of my hands.

I don't think he's going out of his way to delibrately cheat, he's just got a crap system, and he's not understanding this average speed thing and how it can work to someones advantage.

Preload's obviously not grasping the rules, but then we should enforce them more. Be tough on him. I think we spend too much time discussing, not enough time actually doing.

It sucks having a system that won't play at full speed but then he should bite the bullet and invest in a new pc if he want's to play some of the more newer games.

I just run some Preloads T&F genre inps, using analinp.

T&F +3 clones=4
88games +2 clones =3

6 of these 7 inps show clear use of rlh-cheat(win74-bit24, wolf74u1- bit 12)
Use of RLH also looks to be very intentional, for example at hes hypsptsp recording he pushes rlh 200 times...sometimes pushing quickly, sometimes holding rlh-button several seconds.

There are also other giveaways:
He presses running buttons during one round of T&F about 900 times(92,5k)...while normally players with decent scores push them 2200-3000 times.

******
So I was thinking what if...we just would zero ALL hes sports inps (T&F.style), no matter if analinp gets them or not. There has been a lot of zeroing of hes inps already before.

I'd say YES, delete all them. I'll ask for general opinion on this now.

1. delete all preloads sports inps?
2. delete only those that clearly use rlh or autofire?

Thanks,
TJT

Option 2 seems fair enough, although a Leopard never changes its spots...and all that.
