Congrats QRS

Well done QRS for being the first to complete Magical Cat Adventure!

It's becomming one of my fav games! I feel it's a cross between Sonic the hedgehog and Super Ghouls and Ghosts with a Bonze Adventure feel!

You're also the first to discover that is you kill a boss and die at the same time - you still live (and you magically get 1 bar of energy on the next stage, instead of the zero you had when you died). Luck? Well, maybe luck comes into it a bit!

This IS a cool game and kudos to qrs. I think the old (~1997) PC 3d game Pandemonium (my favorite platform of all time) was derived from this game. NO cat characters in pandemonium and the 3d graphics/rotations are way better, but the level genres seem convincingly similar. Pandemonium II was good too, Wish there was a pandemonium 3.

Thanks! I love that game too. It really is one of the best platform type of game I have ever played. The only bad thing about it it the control.. Ask BBH and he will tell you ;)

And about Pandemonium 1 and 2.. great games! The only bad thing was that I got so damn dizzy playing it :)

Cheers

hehe, yep Pandemonium was the first game that I could get dizzy playing because the 3dfx technology just got good enough where spinning was so smooth and realistic! The Mile High Platform Gene Simmons Jump sneakers were the best! I wish I could get an emulator for win95+3dfx, heh. I still can't get those games to work right with new windows, stupid backwards incompatibilty.

It has nothing to do with Sonic,or at least trying to run will usually give an instant death. After all the level patterns aren't written for running;check level 5;every two jumps you have to "fight" a blue monster...

PS:I'm actually drunken,HIC!

True, in some of the levels you can't run much!

However, in level 2 (where you have to jump from block to block to avoid falling in the fire), you can run across the blocks (if you're fast enough) without falling in!

And on Level 1, you can mostly run through the whole level without having to stop much.

Also, if you run into a monster at full speed, do you kill it without causing yourself any harm? I'm not too sure if I imagined this or not!

This is what reminded me of Sonic. However after level 2, things do become rather different!

You have to jump to do it;the character will roll just like Sonic...
