Allright...in Waku Waku 7, the power guage continuously increases during every fight, instead of in proportion to attacks. This is only on MAME. Is that just a bug in the emulation, or do I need to disable some kind of cheat?

It's the default setting. You can change it if you so wish in the game's setup mode - push F2 for test mode, and change the game's 'soft DIPs'.
