ok, someone check out my input
for time pilot '84...(tp84)..
negative1, rg1 - 492900 3rd place..
i've used a few techniques
to maximize my points in
the early boards..
i haven't checked the other inputs
(except the leaders), and they
didn't use these..
though they could have...
i hope its not considered as:
leeching (there is no infinite enemy points, as each
board has a boss)
or
staying in one spot (because you're constantly moving)
(- in general its harder to do this, than play it regular
with shooting constantly..)
please see the posts under 'general' for a full
explanation of the exploits..

I look your inp. I think it's ok. But your have ill-luck because your inp check mahlemiut. Mahlemiut is good player but he is mega-anti-leeching player. Why? I don't know.
In your inp is little leeching but this leeching isn't easy. You are continually in movement. You only maximized points.
In Rygar is just the same situation (maximized points through jumping over time-head) but there scores are confirmed.
I don't know why your score is deleted.
I'm astonished.

Destructor:Read the description on Negative1´s Timepilot 84 recording... Barry has zeroed out the score due to autofire or possible slowdown in the recording. This has nothing to do with the "leeching."
Please get the information right before you start calling other people things :=)
Cheers

whoah...hold on there...
thanks for the thoughts....
but lets wait to see what happens there..
i had a problem with another game..
so this might be the same thing..
if it doesn't work, at least it can go
in the tips and tricks...
i'm not here to stir up controversy,
i just play the games for fun..
if the technique works, good..
if not, i'll move on to another game...
peace..

If you feel confident enough that your recordings are legit you should always use a secure mame to record. Alpha mame is the best secure mame out there, AND it has all the current mame games (with amame61)
http://mahlemiut.marpirc.net/alphamame-061-3.zip
With this cool mame you can check the recorded speed of any game while you playback (F11 shows the current frame rate of playback as well as the recorded frame rate), so you can tell if someone is using slowdown in any recording made with it. It does NOT work with other mame inps it only works with it's own (just like any differeing mame version for that matter.)
Someone can still record with an external autofire with alpha mame but we'll be able to detect that so someone still won't be gaining an unfair advantage over the players that really put some effort into playing the game fairly.
The preceding was a paid advertisement for Alpha mame by Barry Rodewald.

Barry said on IRC that we shouldn't use Alpha MAME yet.

oops, sorry, too quick to advertise... delay that advertisement untill barry says its ok. at the very least, try it out so you can check your own recording speeds if they are in doubt. I think i'm still allowed to say it's a cool thing to see the recorded speed of an inp while you are playing it back, instead of seeing if questionable under regulation speed recordings will slip through the cracks.

You can use it if you really want to, I just haven't added it to the versions list due to uncertainties with analogue games. Although Arkanoid and Heavy Barrel, at least, do seem to playback fine. Just make sure that it at least plays back before uploading, especially with analogue games.
