I downloaded some replay files and I´ve realized in most of them the player dies or gives up at the beginning of the game and does not reach the score it was suposed to.
My question is: Does someone audit the replay files before posting them in the website?
I´m just concerned with the credibility of the data showed here.
I got this problem in the following games: aibuster, ddsom, eightfrc, msword and others...
Thanks

First, are you using the same version of MAME that is recorded with?
Second, many game use NVRAM, the corresponding .nv file must be moved or deleted before recording and playback. Do let us know if any do require NVRAM that have been uploaded within the past year.
Third, there may be settings that need to be changed. These should be mentioned in the recording's description. Using -nosound is a common one.
