These recordings will not work, they both go into some kind of test mode when i try to play them back. Tried with sound and with nosound, and with default nvram, and without.

oaks' doesn't playback (it was not recorded with out sound or with nvram) jr's does playback fine scores 7 pts, sd vs. colts. games where you enter your initials first usually indicate sound off is required for recording/playback.
