gekirido

I watched a couple of old gekirido recordings, and came across the old nvram problem again.

How do I judge old recordings that require nvram? I can't remember when the "no nvram"-rule was introduced.

When it comes to gekirido, SEANCE's recording won't start without a nvram-file. It does start with a default nvram, but I can't get it past first stage anyhow.

Vaz's and Gameguru's recordings play back without problems with a default nvram-file, but won't start without one.

The rule is: nvram recordings were grandfathered before Sept 15th 2001, so if a default.nv file works for them they should be confirmed, some of these recordings were nice enough to include the nv in the zip. Anything after Sept 15th 2001 that uses a default.nv file (works with a default.nv or with one provided in the zip but not with out) let the editors know since it should be disqualified.

Yes, and it might be a good idea to mail an editor, so that it can be mentioned in the description that it needs a default.nv file to playback.

Aaargh, kill me! Another couple of :s coming up.

Could an editor please help me with the following:

Since I apparently don't know the order of the months I confirmed GameGuru's recording, which is recorded 14 october and needs a default.nv file. It should be disqualified.

Vaz's recording plays back fine with a default.nv, but the score is wrong. It should be 580460 instead of 580490. The difference is so small I don't think it's a nvram issue.

Oh, and by the way, is it only me that have problems with creating links in this forum. It works sometimes but most of the time I have to try a few times to get it to work. Let's see if this one does:

Nope! Tried moving it around and creating it again, but it won't work. Any tips?

links actually work with out using the "URL" button on this board, just paste em right in and they automagically become clickable.

Ok. Thanks for editing and thanks for teaching me to avoid the URL button. :)
