Should leeching where you trap the centipede (or the game's equivalent) and shoot high valued items in relative safety be allowed?

IMHO, it takes the purpose out of the game when you trap the main item and go after the higher scoring bonus items.

I'd say the only "alternative" methodology with Centipede that's acceptable would be the Eric Ginner mushroom block technique. The trap technique is a relatively simple scenario to set up and should be excluded from MARP as it has the potential to totally take scoring out of range of legitimate current scores.
