New forum style available

I just added a new phpBB style called digitaltwilight. If you want to give it a try, you need to edit your profile, scroll down almost to the bottom where it says Board Style, and choose digitaltwilight from the dropdown box (subSilver is the default).

If you're too lazy to do that, I have a screenshot of it when I was setting it up.

And just for fun, I'm going to add a poll (expires in 21 days) to see if people would like this to be the default style or not.

one problem is the "Color" of read links and unread links aren't at all distinguishable, the orig scheme the undread links were orange and really stood out. Which is a reason it won't end up being my default :( at any rate light on dark is always a better touch.

If you have any colour suggestions, let me know. It's rather simple to change sitewide (yay for CSS!). I agree though, it's nice to have read/unread links visibly different.

I suppose I could use the link hover colour for read links, and possibly change the hover colour to something else (if at all)?

another thing that was wierd about that interface was that it didn't expand to the full wide screen, it only stuck to a 640x480 width even though the window would be 1200x1000...

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. There is a list of other styles available here: http://www.phpbb.com/styles/styles_demo/

If you want one of them to be added, reply here with the name of it, and I'll try to get it done (I have to edit the style to accomodate the attachment mod).

Actually, that's one of the things I am trying to figure out how to fix on my site. :)

raps is definately my favorite design, although the dark grey on black needs to change.

Others I like in no particular order:

BlackSoul
DarkSide
dvdfuture (I do not like the color set, though, but like the layout, and the fact that you can click on the entire cell to go to the forum or thread)
milleniumFalcon
vereorLCARS (Simply 'cause I like STTNG :))

I like BlackSoul a lot. Kinda funny since it was the first one on the list. Millenium Falcon is okay, I kinda liked DarkEQ but I guess the whole equalizer thing doesn't make sense for MARP.

ehehe, I spammed a test thread on my own in that test forum too... can you figure out which thread it is? ;D

Oh yeah, can we get different emoticons too?

I'll have to look at the other skins for the boards. If the Emoticons do get switched, I'll make another Ass-hat accordingly. :P
