Plays back to all sorts of low 4 digit numbers depending on the sound setting (on or off) and version of MAME. Tried Win Client, MAME32, and Kaillera.

Ask TknoMncr how he got his Alpine recording to work right. Maybe it's frameskip dependant? Go into the properties of the game and uncheck Automatic in the Frame Skipping section of the Advanced tab.

i tried with fs0, fs0/fs11 mix, and fs11 and still nothing. xanadu are you saying it worked or didn't work when you tried?

it's kinda funny how sometimes people say I used mame32 and sound on but don't actually verify that they've played back the recording ok :) i guess it wouldn't matter anyway playing it back yourself doesn't really count, of course if you like your recoridngs not to be zereoed it's proly good to check them.
