heh, first come first served, no baby bouncies, and no calling confirms, it's every confirmer for theirselves. just like when people call shotgun... who ever is first to the passenger door gets the passenger seat!
but i truly am sorry, i didn't realize until now that you were trying to save the confirm for yourself, the "confirm me" link looks too inviting i just have to click it when i know the score. if it's any consolation it's pretty much proof that you determined the score first because of this thread.

It might be first come first served, but editors have the advantage over regular confirmers to change the scores, which is quite unfair when we confirmers cannot change the scores themselves. I don't have problems on a normal basis when I just have watched a recording and the confirm link had been clicked before I had gotten to it, but when it's the score that needs to be changed.....that's cheap.
That is not the point. The point I'm trying to make here is the fact that it is unfair that when a score needs to be changed, a regular confirmer cannot do it, but an editor can change the score and confirm it themselves, instead of letting the original person who reported the score confirm it. I could care less who the hell has the most confirms. "WHEE YOU HAVE THE MOST CONFIRMS! HERE'S A COOKIE!"

the point you might not know is that any editor HAD better watch it too to verify the score, i.e. even though editors get first punch at confirming it's not like they don't have to watch it. I did watch it, so i at least deserve partial credit for the confirm ~) would be nice to set up marp to have a record of multiple confirmations and declines i.e. people who can get it to playback confirm it people who can't decline it and if there are both confirms and declines the decliners should mail the confirmers to see how they got it to playback or if it was just a mistake. This board seems to be doing that with the exception the recordings aren't strongly connected to the playback threads.
Chad - Now there's one hell of an idea. That definately should be something to put on MARP itself. That way, you wouldn't have to sign up confirmers. All a user would have to do is click on "confirmed" or "_____" (Insert a word better than unconfirmed here), and the system tallies it up. The editors can then see a new page of which recordings have the lowest confirm rate, and see if they can get them to play back. Recordings that are above a certain percentage of confirmations, or if they are given the okay by an editor, will turn orange.
Joey - No offense (largely because you have a kick ass avatar ), but if I were to whine about every recording I watched that someone else confirmed, I'd be swimming in a lake by now. For christ's sake, man, get a grip on reality. Not being able to confirm a recording isn't the end of the world.

I already stated I don't have a problem when someone gets to the confirm button before I do. In THIS case, I got to it first, but having the disadvantage of not being able to change the score, like many other confirmers, meant that Chad (Skito) got to confirm it instead.
