Just one question because you didn't mention it like you usually does : how many are clones and how many originals ?
(this question because I use to merge my roms)

this big of a release it was tough to get the clone information. Pat if you write up the specs for what you do to get the clone information, i'd gladly write a script that would automatically do this. I'm assuming you don't have one. I think all that is required for the comparison script program is the -listinfo output from each mame version to get the differences, adds/dels/changes.
