avatar problem

I tried to upload a different avatar, but it gave some sort of error message saying it couldn't create it... I can't remember if I deleted my old one in the profile or not. Either way, I deleted it out now but it still won't let me upload anything else.

I also tried this (i wanted to change from gif to png) but the png wouldn't take, i then reuploaded the gif again and it apear to fix it... but avatars are definitley broek.
here's the erro messages grabed quickly:

on a side note, on the
http://www.maxreboot.com forums which are also phpbb this functionality works, i was able to replace my gif avatar with a png one with no problem (or error.)
