I´m playing puzzle bobble and chelnov, and with these changes I want to know, what I should type. I´m using mame 36b8 to play chelnov. Can I play chelnov and send inp file with the name chelnovu?? or need to be chelnov like the old time? is pbobble or pbobblen?

This is a toughy. You'll have look at the change script archives. in
pbobbles case (I went to mame.dk and searched for pbooble and got
that it was changed in mame53, then i went to the mame53 changes
which said it was changed to pbobblen in 53 so pbobble in 36b8 will
be pbobblen in the recent version of mame(which marp reflects.

And chelnov happned to be changed in the same mame53 version to
chelnovu.

Concerning pbobble, I've updated the "special rules" link : just play
with "pbobble" in the command line, but you will have to upload your
input under "pbobblen" as Pat already updated the short-names database

I think this goes for chelnov as well, any chelnov recordded with pre
mame53 should be uploaded as chelnovu
