Hi ALL!!!!!!!!!!

My mouse works with Marble Madness, however it won't work with Star Wars or Operation Thunderbolt?????

Obviously, if Marble madness works then Operation Thunderbolt should?

Is there a way to calibrate the mouse in the game, thought it used to be F7 ?????

Ive even tried in pure DOS with command -mouse??

And the mouse is set in the mame.cfg file?

NOW THATS STRANGE??????????????????

Thanks

i might have an idea, but i believe it's quite dumb and most likely
you have already tried s.th. like what i'm going to propose...ah
well, ok,
here goes:

IF (mouse works in game A) AND NOT (mouse works in game B)
THEN (hardware is o.k.)

...which implies the game settings are faulty
we now try to answer the question
'how the ยง"$% do them there games differ?' :))

1st possibility:
under mame (controller) options, you activated BOTH joy and mouse
input - some games don't like that and you'll have to leave the
joystick input out
2nd:
previous in- game configuration (TAB) set to cursor keys and/or
joystick axis explicitly overrules analog mouse input.

3rd:
i totally misunderstood your problem, and the mouse works but you
just can't get it calibrated - in that case i'm sorry but i don't
have the slightest ;8

Another possibility of the 2nd (game configs are messed) problem is
that your mame is using a cfg/nvram file that was created from a
different version. i.e. the last time you playded starwars was with
mame37b16 (mame34 etc) and created a cfg that was partially
incompatible with mame55, unlikely but could be fixed by removing the
cfgs and reseting cfgs (not adjusting settings to an incompatible cfg
file might not fix this you may have to remove it to clear everything
before attempting to adjust)

Hi

Must be something to do with .CFG files, if I select a colour depth of
8 it still displays in 16 ???

I have a Gforce2, shouldn't be a problem?

Very strange?

Thanks

8-bit colour was removed from MAME recently.
