anyway, i was wondering if we could compile a list of the 'secret bonus' points. as an incentive, here's one i know _you_ don't know (i watched your INP) :

* stand directly over the letter 'C' in the word SECTOR during docking phase to get 1.500 points (standard boni are 900, 700 or 500 points depending on the accuracy you are "centered" over the letter 'T'

anyway, some of the other secret bonus points i know of are for:
* completing a wave without misfiring a single shot (1000 pts)
* completing a wave without moving (? only on some waves, and then 600 pts ?)
* hitting all enemies in the 1st repetition of their movement cycle
(between 1500 and 3000 points)

anything i missed?
e.g., why do i sometimes get 2 secret boni for the fuel-replenishing asteroids?

Thanks, I intend to clock the sectors real soon, sector 7 is a very
hard level to complete though..

Here's the Astro Blaster tips that I have:

General bonuses:
Docking bonus: Dock without using directional buttons for 400 - 1500
points.

<p>

There's also a docking bonus for scraping your ship against one of
the arms on the mothership.

<p>


Sector 1:
Wave 1: Shoot them in order left to right, down to up for 500 points.
Shoot without missing for 1000 points.

<p>

Wave 2: Shoot without missing for 1000 points. Shoot all before any
goes off the screen for 700 points.

<p>

Wave 3: Shoot them in the order in which they appear for 500 points.

<p>

Wave 4: Shoot them before they go off the screen for 700 points.
Shoot them without missing for 1000 points.

<p>

Asteroids: Go through entire sector without laser temporature
critical for 600 points. Go through entire sector with same ship for
500 points.

Sector 2:
Wave 1: Same as Sector 1, wave 1.

Wave 2: Same as Sector 1, wave 2.

Wave 3: Unknown

Wave 4: Shoot all ships in one group for 500 points.

When sector 7 is complete it starts over again, the score rolls over
at 99,990

I used to clock the score and then killed myself on 10pts, the
machine would still put me at the top of the scoreboard....

I got the entire list somewhere, (had a friend in the childhood days
that actually owned a machine, I remember we touching the coin wires
together to ring up a credit!) I'll have to pull them out, but
basically if you can not overheat, not miss and go in exact order
from bottom to top you get max bonuses....
Also anything during Energy Level Critical is worth double... (And I
think if you either stay marginal or higher or finish the entire
asteriod section at critical you get another bonus.
