I really, really, REALLY hate to say this... but I think there may be a problem with playbacks on Metal Slug with m35tg3.

When trying to play back the recording I uploaded, it loses sync at random places... first time I tried it it screwed up on the last tank before the 3rd boss. Another time it screwed up during the 3rd boss. Once it even broke in the middle of Stage 2. At this time I'm not sure what factors may affect playback... maybe speed throttling/frameskipping breaks it. I'm also willing to bet that whether or not sound was used plays a role in it (mine was done with sound on).

I sure hope this doesn't happen with everyone's recordings. If anyone knows of a surefire way to make the recording play back correctly, please post....

Hmmmm... try recording a level-4 recording and see what that does...
I'm a bit curious that the settings might have a part in this for
some weird reason... GB9

Your input crashes for me at 200000+ (start of rd 2) when I playback
with sound on , and at 300000+ (end of rd 2) when I playback with
sound off

Maybe you should try to record a game with sound off ; I had a similar
problem a long time ago with another neogeo game , goalx3 : when I was
recording with sound on , playbacks were fine only for the first match
; but when I was recording with sound off playbacks with sound off
were fine till the end of the game .... unfortunately I'm too bad at
mslug to test it myself !

decision ...

Okay, I'll record a game tonight with sound off and see if it works
any better.

Could it be possible to ask Zwaxy to make something so that such
important things on certain games like this one appears when we click
on search ?
I mean that there is always a screenshot appearing , but it would be
nice if there was also a warning text to help new people on marp and
avoid them to submit non-working inputs

A few examples:
*mslug or goalx3: need to be recorded with SOUND OFF
*carnival : need to be recorded with m33b4
*tpgolf : scoring system is "200 - number of strokes on the 18 holes"
*oscar : m36 forbidden (game broken with this version)
