Nothing's beeen removed from MAME, it still has the various other (not arcade) systems. And WolfMAME has always (so far) excluded these drivers. (You can always include them in your own builds if you want, however)
yeah, if you've got a version with that stuff missing then you don't have MAME, there is absolutely no intention of removing such things from the main project, MAME has grown beyond it's arcade roots and is now a vehicle for digital preservation of all kinds.
you probably have some unofficial thing people are trying to pass off as MAME but isn't actually MAME due to having things stripped out.

Look guys, read again as to what I said... "hardware ENTRIES were removed"
I've been doing MARP updates the same way since 1999, so I know what I'm talking about! I always use the official MAMEDEV release. I even double-checked this one with WolfMAME.
If you don't believe me, check it out yourself! Output a full list of games from m181 and do the same for m182. Use a program to compare the differences. Then you'll see and understand what I'm talking about.
OK, I think I got a bad build from the MAMEDEV site at the end of January. The site was down for some reason when I tried to download. Never has happened before.
In any event, I redid everything and there were a few new games and some changes to the two Star Horse games. I'll also post the changes in the first post.
