Confirmed same scenario - times out on the second stage with 3,700.

Needs NVRAM. I just played it on wolfmame 138 (I don't have 137 installed), played it back using the playback script (which disables NVRAM) and it only got 3700 and was obviously not really playing it (looked like random directions). I had NVRAM in the directory from testing it, and then tried it using the command line to play it (mame marble5 -playback marble5.inp) so it'd use that NVRAM, and it played back to the advertised score:

I couldn't get it to playback with default NVRAM either.
