So I am trying to playback the game Dynasty Wars from a inp file from marp for the game dynasty wars that someone uploaded back in 2002. I have a new version of Wolfmame, and when i try to play it, the game loads up, but it just glitches, and there is the letter "g" all down the right of the screen haha.

Do I need to have the uploaders version of mame to see the inp? I think I have the same rom version he does. Any ideas?

In general you need to use the same version of MAME to playback an .inp that was used to record it. Sometimes you can get away with using a MAME version that is "very close" and you'll get lucky and it works. But there is no way you'll get a replay from 2002 to playback in a recent version of MAME (or even in WolfMAME .106).
