hi everyone,
i recently stumbled upon a street fighter (and other games) tournament in a west end "HMV" store (who have gone into liquidation yesterday) and saw many people queuing up clutching their "fight sticks", waiting to play. i never knew these things went on!! after being on the "JAMMA" FORUMS, SOMEONE INFORMED ME OF A RETRO CONSOLE MONTHLY NIGHT JUST 1 MILE FROM MY HOUSE! (oops!)
anyway, i never played any street fighter games. as they entered the frame, retro arcade died in my eyes, and all machines disappeared.
however, i would like to try it, as it is very competetive, but don't know where to start.
first i need to know how to set up the buttons for my x-arcade dual, i don't even know what buttons do what!!
if anyone can tell me i could at least give it a shot.

i have been there already, and it does not answer my problem.
MAME shows configuration for buttons 1 - 6. i need to know which ones should be mapped to each key, otherwise they will be wrong. know what i mean?
i need to know if button "1" should be a "high punch" or a "low kick", etc...

1,2,3 should be weak/medium/strong punch, 4,5,6 weak/medium/strong kick.
