Virus II

Post by The TJT »

Downloaded yesterday wolfie106 from MARP. Both Avast antivirus and Comodo firewall initially warned me wolfmame being a virus. Of course it's not...right, Barry? :)

Also Avast warned wlfview.exe being a virus...I reported to them that it's not.

if being a virus makes you run it again and again and again, maybe it is : )

Yes, in the last year several anti-virus programs have decided WolfMAME (wlfview.exe in particular) is suspicious and have started flagging it. Here's a thread where this has been discussed over at TG. If it causes you problems you'll need to either figure out a workaround for your anti-virus program or switch anti-virus programs (or switch to a newer version of WolfMAME that doesn't use):

It's interesting that once one of the anti-virus programs started flagging wlfview, a number of others did shortly thereafter. Makes you wonder how much they copy each others signature detection files.
