Non default settings (& about hp's polepos2 scores)

Post by Phil Lamat »

Rule 2g:
There may be special rules involved OR restrictions (e.g. 5 lives only, special scoring system, etc.) for a particular game you want to submit. PLEASE read those rules before making a submission. There is a special rules link in the second column of each submitted recording if there are any.

For polepos2, we can add restriction : "default settings only".
After we have to see if we can apply retroactivity to hp's scores, and so scores aren't totally lost, maybe archive them under *polepos2-test-nd (non default) for example, or with 2 stars : **polepos2-test.

Opinions ?
idea of other games where we could apply that ?

Rule 2j is very clear and has been around forever. A recording is to be made using default or TG settings. Otherwise it is subject to deletion...

There are many other games where there are many TG score submissions...and one or 2 gamers took the easy way out playing at default just to take the top score. ugh. hehe

this is an odd case where playing at TG settings results in a higher potential score so it would be great if any replayed this at TG settings...would have been even better if this was pointed out before K6 where TG settings maybe could have been used for polepos2.

I would love to see what Redstar could do at TG settings. There are a lot more cars so no way he could get that kind of insane time but it seems he likely could give hp a serious run.

P.S. I do not plan on reverting back to my old TG settings score for this track.
