The video is legit. It's from the Arika website, and Arika is the maker of the TGM series. When watching things like world class Tetris and Dance Dance Revolution videos, keep in mind that the games have been played to death for many years, and the top players are insanely good at them.

yeah, that is legit.
it is insane skill....fast brain processing.
the end when during the credits he is doing it invisible is not surprising at all because to do the speed he was doing even when you still could see te board requires total visualization of what the board is in your head.
he is already 1-2 pieces ahead in his move thinking and doing the current moves.
just executing the moves correctly is amazing in itself.
..and then the endurance to do that for tha length of time...again amazing.
yeah, I compare that to those who are insane at DDR....or FFR.
if you haven't checked out FFR online...do so...they have video of the day which often is one with insane skills....likely some videos of those at youtube.

I have been playing here...and have drastically improved my hand-eye-mind coordination in the past month by playing this.
I still suck compared to any masterful player...but can handle most of the standard skill one just fine and a few of the tricky ones and 1-2 of the "difficult" ones. I can't handle anything beyond that yet..and there are many skill levels above those....not memorized at all...just visually seeing the arrows and pressing the right ones.
it takes tons of play to train your brain to handle it.
think of it almost as another language....you become fluent in.

LN2 that website is wholly addictive, I got up to 4 million on the leaderboard then 'quit'. But then I created another username and I can't help going back once in a while to keep my eye trained

LOL Lordgaz...yeah, it's very addicting....especially once you start to really get the hang of it so can try more difficult songs.
to feed your addiction....meet certain goals on certain songs and you earn a "token" song...which shows up in the "skill" section.
also, you earn credits as you play which when you visit the store you can "buy" other songs which show up in the purchased section.
..so you can get some fresh stuff now and then...although I am not sure the shop/store is working correctly because you can't scroll through the choicesso are stuck getting one shown on the first page of selections.
...most of those are way too difficult for me...but I buy cuz little choice...hoping later an easier difficulty one surfaces up.
I am currently still using the 1-handed method...of which I think I am close to my limit on as the difficulty of songs I am starting to play are not realistically possible with only1 hand.
The better players all use 2 handed approach with 2 fingers from 1 hand on 2 of the arrows and 2 from the other hand. It makes the fast combo-key presses much easier.
I have tried this a little bit....but I keep reverting to my 1-handed style.

Oops, I meant 4 billion not 4 million which was enough to get inside the top 200 at the time. I started one handed then moved to two as you describe, ended up with thousands of credits and most of the token songs.
Didn't mean to hijack the thread Destructor

. That Tetris clip is the best I've ever seen I think.

4 billion? geesh, you were addicted.
what skill level roughly had you reached playing it that much?
I am getting up there...but still only at 200 million.
still doing 1-handed.
