i'm assuming you are refing to http://marp.retrogames.com/inp/8/b/8/al ... olf109.zip
http://marp.retrogames.com/r/shinobi

this playsback fine for me in windows, does your output differ from this?

Code: Select all

mame.exe shinobi -playback shinobi_wolf109_763310 -nomouse -noswitchres -volume -11 -noafs -skip_gameinfo
INPVIEW: using layout type 'standard'
Extended INP file info:
Version string: 0.109 (Oct 29 2006)
Start time: Fri Jul 27 13:18:33 2007

Playing back previously recorded game shinobi
End of playback - 175778 frames - Average speed 100.110612%
Average FPS: 550.566567 (175475 frames)

First, MAME cannot be run from MS-DOS, it's a Windows application. Use the Windows command prompt.
Second, make sure you are using the same MAME version that it was recorded in, which in this case is WolfMAME 0.109 (download it from here)
