Sound changes and MARP

Post by Haze »

Aaron's latest sound changes in 112u3 may be of benefit to MARP users.

Basically the emulation of sound systems should now run the same regardless of the host system, framerate, sample rate etc.. For games which read the sound status directly with the main CPU this should mean less desync problems with replays etc (because the result should now be the same on any PC)

There were a couple that fell into this catagory, mainly ones with an OKI6295 read directly by the main CPU IIRC, so hopefully by using 112u3 or newer those will record / playback more correctly now. There may still be some issues as not every core has been fully update yet, but it should be better.

Just a heads up.
