John... I don't understand why this rule is only to .101 version...

yeah, I never got that either....as any submission for GEGOTW should be played during the week.

someone that set a score in 0.106 ten days ago should not be able to submit that for the contest.

I love the beer stein prize for reaching the beer board...clever.

can we get 2 if we reach the second beer? :P

$100 for reaching the kill. LOL. yeah...right.

for turbo jrpac maybe.

I was thinking the further bounty would be to top Rick F's score posted at MARP.

That would be quite amazing.

Very well, if it's going to confuse people I will not allow .101. Original post edited.

All submissions for this week's competition must use WolfMAME .106. No exceptions.

Reaching the beer screen?

Dang, I wouldn't have thought that one was relatively hard.

If no one does it, everyone who submits will be eligible.

Reaching the Beer screen is fairly difficult, though it is the easiest of the 4 rotating boards, 4 (Balloon), 5 (Train), 6 (Cat), 7 (Beer).

Unless someone like Fothergill or Chapman enter this contest, I'd say a score of 100-120k should ice this thing :P

Hope I'm not giving away too much information in pointing out {Edit - yep, it was too much information.}

Then there was the time that Jason Cram came out of nowhere at the very last minute to submit a winning entry on Congo Bongo...

So you never know.

Sunday's bonus points to sikraiken (who apparently has outgrown the mixed-case appellation)

Eligible for the random prize:

Don Hayes

And the "Going the Distance" Award goes to Cybergoth, still plugging away on Robby Roto.
The sun has gone down and the moon has come up
And long ago somebody left with the cup
But he's driving and striving and hugging the turns
And thinking of someone for whom he still burns
And finally, apologies to those who can read for the one who apparently can't, for the locking of this thread. I just don't have time to deal with the stupidity, and I want to preserve this thread as a reminder of why any future posts he makes to this forum will be deleted.

I would also point out that this is not the first forum he has caused this problem in. The exasperated administrator of the MacMAME forums once wrote in response to him:
Brad Oliver wrote:This discussion ended a while ago. I'm not big on locking threads or banning users; most people usually get the hint when I or the other moderators say "enough." Some particularly dense people get the hint if it is said a second time. I've now said it three times in this thread.

If there is another post from you on this topic in this thread or another, you will be banned - not for inadvertent insults, but for continued whining.
Another moderator apparently was then kind enough to lock the thread

Wow, and Brad Oliver is a really nice guy too... I can't imagine what was said to get that response.

And I'm not?

What was "said" actually wasn't particularly interesting. It was just that he was told repeatedly to drop it and just kept on arguing. Very similar to the situation here.

And again, I apologize to everyone for the unpleasantness. As far as I'm concerned, it's over.

Tuesday's bonus points to Don Hayes

But this might not be Don's lucky week. I was going to offer a 2006 GEGOTW t-shirt for the first person to "kong" all the monsters on the first board, but I see he's already done it!
