I can't remember if it also works with zero outs. I know it does with 1 out.

Also, did you start your 3rd base runner?
If the runner is not running toward home, then of course the catcher throws to first....no risk of opposing team getting a run.

I would need to play and practice it some to get the timing down again.

maybe someday soon I can make a replay of it.

$50 should intice me enough though...hehe

..but destructor would turn around and just outlast whatever I did. :P

I've tried with zero out and also with 1 out

The 3rd base automatically run toward home, but the catcher trows to first.

I wait your INP :)

Thank you

I can't remember if it also works with zero outs. I know it does with 1 out.
I have a save state with runners on 1st and 3rd, 0 outs, and it seems like the fielder always throws to first on a bunt.

I then tried intentionally striking out so that I now have 1 out, and I think the fielder does throw home most of the time but my timing is apparently not good enough to get the rest of the technique working properly for any length of time.

Well, maybe I am not quite remembering it correctly.

I will have to play it some to figure it out again...but in summary that is roughly it.

maybe it was where runners are on 2nd and 3rd instead of 1st and 3rd.

it was where you bunt and can get the fielders to throw the ball where you want advancing your runners so all are safe and you score a run and end up with same runner situation you started with...so you can repeat it.

who knows...maybe they revised the rom to fix this?!? doubt it.

I will experiment with it some. It has been 22 years since I played this game.

I check this method with mans on 1st and 3rd base and it doesn't work. Maybe on this romset it doesn't work. I change difficulty to easy and doesn't work too.

Marathon method

You need runners on 2nd and 3rd, it does also work with runners on 1st and 3rd but i find it easier with 2nd and 3rd. Also i can only get it to consistently work with 2 outs. With 0 or 1 out it can work but not all the time, often the pitcher will throw to 1st instead of home. I just uploaded an inp to marp where i was able to use it in the 1st innings for about 16 runs.

I just had a 100+ run game - it definitely works!

yeah, it takes some practice to get the timing of all your runners down.

I would have time to play it the next day or so but I am sick and getting sicker by the hour. this sucks.

Nice!! But, you better keep playing since destructor can now see how it's done and I would expect a large score from him too

Definitely...I tried it last night for maybe an hour and had some success but I wasn't getting the timing right all the time and screwed up way too much.

Certainly, but why does Ace have a bunny-avatar saying "be afraid"?

I don't know about you, but it definitely scares the crap out of me!

Ace has a 256k score submitted to MARP now so he has the hang of it.

Without watching it I guess from the above he is using the 2nd and 3rd scenario.

I actually think that was the easier of the 2 to execute....cuz if you screw up...you can have the bases loaded and with a little luck get a hit to get it setup again.

I've just noticed that if you bunt the ball foul with two strikes your batter is out (just like in real baseball). The game changes batters but it doesn't count the out, so you can get more than three outs per inning.
