Here are two screen caps. One that I took when I was playing and another one that I took while viewing bandit's replay (http://marp.retrogames.com/inp/a/5/0/ne ... _win59.zip).






Notice how the space between the first option and the ship and between the options themselves is bigger in the second image. How is this trick done ? It really is a useful trick and I would like to implement it in my gameplay.

If anyone has informations about this (or about any other interesting Gradius tricks), please let me know.

IIRC, using more speed-ups will allow you to separate the Options out more.

Very interesting information, I would have never guessed that it had something to do with speed ups.
