might be a diff file issue but this one doesn't get passed first round. if anyone has the chd please try this one and see if it works or not.

Tried with diff and with deleting the diff. Alpha didn't win the 1st round.

I can't get the other kinst2 replay to work either:

Heh, was coming here to ask if anyone knew how to get this to playback. Same deal for me. Dies in first round on Orchid.

ok Alpha's will be zeroed when marp is back up, but Rik's recording is also in jeopardy.

This one actually passes three matches before going out of synch. Does anyone know if removing the diff file is required for making this game able to playback?

I would presume so. The diff file contains changes written to the HD image.

Yeah, looks like the diff file needs to be removed aswell as any nvram and cfg files. Looks like I'll need to re-record this...

Tried Alpha's recording and it does not get past the first round, must also be a diff issue...

OK, here's another replay, so if anyone has nothing better to do then they can try this one. I deleted the dif file this time so there shouldn't be any problems (famous last words). If this one is OK then I guess I can have my previous recording deleted or something?

The replay doesn't work with wolf103.

The replay does work with mame32 103.

Nice replay.

Could somebody tell me what I need to delete/create/fix in order to make sure my recording plays back for most of you guys, before I put my soul into recording a 74 hit combo

Thanks,
Frederik

To be sure, remove or rename the relevant .cfg, .nv, and .dif file.

.hi files don't need to be removed as MAME ignores these when -record or -playback are used, but the mere presence of hiscore.dat is known to affect a few games (mostly Psikyo shooters). Best to remove hiscore.dat if you use it.

.cfg files don't generally cause problems either, but it helps to be sure, especially if you don't need specific key or DIP switch settings. (Key settings can be set in a ctrlr .ini file anyway)
