Discussion
This poll is about changing settings for kick.zip (Kick upright) to 5 men (score is counted after 5 fouls).
The clone romset will stay at default settings(Extra man every 10k=marathonable).
Majority decides(>50%), This poll runs for 2 days.

For the future, I don't think 2 days are long enough. I think it was agreed once that a poll must runs for at least 7 days.

I don't think there's a 7 days rule at rules page.
I just liked to get this over and done quickly, since this is not ultimately radical poll, just special rules for one romset. If a poll has more fundamental change for MARP, of course it'll be longer than couple days, as will the discussion be.
Anyways, point noted.

Hi !
I voted for marathon just to respect the Introduction page of Marp :
"Exhibitionism, in that I'm asking you to show off your high scores on the games, since it actually shows how the score was reached, instead of just being a big number. I for one would love to know how anyone can get 16 million points on bombjack."
So i don't understand why there are so many games played with 5 men settings. If somebody want to be the first, so he can raise the bar where he wants.

because for those games there are enough that can marathon the game the high score is more of an endurance competition than a skills competition playing the game.
an awesome player of the game might not want to play for 48 hours to go for the high score...yet perhaps shows a higher skill level than that 48 hour player.
you still have the marathon setting for the clone...which is enough for those so inclined to go for 2+ days.

I agree completely. I dont like marathonable games to ME play. I dont know if I am able to reach 1 million on KICK, like Don Hayes did, but I dont have the "excitation" of try to do it... so I will not play it more this week. Just my words.
And who here can confirm that Don Hayes would not marathon this one with 5 men settings???

Special rules edited for kick.zip.
Also asked an editor to edit scores to 5 men.
(Unfortunately couldn't playback Angry's score, it will be edited to minimum possible 5 men score at that inp=30 000. If you can playback that M33b6 inp, let us know the 5 men score)
Remember that you can still submit a marathon game(default settings) for kicka.zip

I was able to play it back on my Windows 98 machine.
His 5th death occurred at 35430 as shown here:
