When recording an .inp in WolfMAME 0.78, I can't find anywhere that says you can't be playing the game in a window (versus full-screen DOS screen or whatever). Yet it appears that when I'm recording, I can get around the "no pause" restriction by simply resizing the window with the mouse. The recording keeps going once I release the mouse button, and it plays back just fine with no visible evidence of the unorthodox "pause".
Would it be possible for WolfMAME to record the ending time of the recording as well as the beginning time to help detect something like this?

How about whether the recording was run in windowed or fullscreen mode?

Also, unrelated:

Is there a list somewhere of the key MAMEDev personnel? Wouldn't have to be anything official even, just something that could be used as such.

I'm thinking about offering a bounty for them.

Wait a second....that doesn't sound right.

Let's say "Making a bounty offer to them."

Even if MAME didn't halt during resizing or moving the window, it would still slow down heavily. Nothing can be done about that, except maybe forcing fullscreen on record and disabling Alt+Enter.

As for MAMEdev, there is a contact form on mamedev.com, that may help.

That only lists Nicola Salmoria, Guru, and Aaron Giles.

I was hoping for something a little more extensive. Any other ideas?

Most members don't wish to be contacted. We get too much spam and general other crap.

We don't accept payment for working on specific games anyway. If you want to donate to the project thats your choice, but we will not be paid to work on MAME.

I wasn't going to contact them.

Or pay them for working on MAME.

And about the "Start time" and the "final time" of the recording? It would can be mensured, and if is similar to the frames. Or not?
And if during the recording, the PC clock was changed, the start and final time will be correct or not?

Just some tips...
