Just thought to inform you guys that Nightwish and Apocalyptica play at second part of opening ceremonies. At Saturday after 22.30 Finnish time = 3hour less GMT time. One song each?

I saw Maurice Greene walking near Helsinki central railway station at Monday evening. I've read that he's quite good at T&F arcade :)
He'll be running at 4x100 relay here.

On your marks, get set...

Hahaha, who would have tought Nightwish were going to play there?
BTW, great band... I haven't listened to an album as powerful as Oceanborn in a while!
I don't like Apocalyptica very much, though.

And speaking of music, TJT have you listened to Within Temptation? It is very "Nightwish-like" 8) and their latest release "The Silent Force" is excellent!

I can recommend you more stuff if you want, but I would like to hear suggestions from you.
Right now I have nothing (good) to listen to, and I hate it when that happens

Yeah, have heard some Within Temptation, pretty good stuff, will check out silent force.

My taste could be too soft, maybe asn007 can recommend better...
Anyways

Him (Ville Valo)(wonder if he sings with apocalyptica tomorrow)
Deep Purple In Concert With the London Symphony Orchestra(Gillan, Dio)(only DVD available?) !!!!!
...shouldn't go wrong :)

For fun, sung in Finnish: Teräsbetoni

couple old favourite albums:
Dio: Holy Diver
Deep Purple: Stormbringer(Coverdale etc)
Rainbow: Bent out of shape(Turner)

To use mame terms, Nightwish playbacked Nemo, Tarja had white dress, rained. Apocalyptica had a good piece too, I think it was called Kuutamo(moonlight).
Some previus Worldchampionships goldmedalists appeared too.

What? 'Preload' was there? Was the even more 'mega-powered' "CYM" there?

Then again, the authorities there, take a piss sample, we just take-the-piss.

Cheers,

AL

Ok, I've listened to "Dio: Holy Diver" because it was the only one I could find... and it was... fine! :D
It must have been a blast when it was released (1983!!!).
Reminded me of some oldies I used to listen... Painkiller (Judas Priest), Keeper of the Seven Keys Pt. 2 (Helloween) and Legacy of Kings (Hammerfall).
Don't hesitate to get those if you see them (if you haven't already).

More "must have" albums are welcome!!! (preferably like Nightwish/Within Temptation as I am in a gothic mood now hehe)
