Can we use wolf95 too? (because Acrobat Mission doesn't have sound in 94...)

Yeah, xmcota has bad sound (timing and volume is all over the place) too.

And one more thing:

Code: Select all

't9-pzloop2j-sm' isn't a MAME short game name

pzloop2j fixed, how did i miss that? and for the wolf95/wolf94 debate, for now i'll accept wolf95 recordings as long as they playback in wolf94, i think that will work for acrobatm but probably not xmcota. What's a drop in amplitude now and then?

Damn annoying when sounds seem to come from somewhere they shouldn't. Moreso when they're half a second late.

I'm little confused with Wonder Boy in Monster Land.
Are we playing on the japanese version (which is wbml) or not ?

Ace's inp is on 'wbmlb' and mjs' inp is on 'wbml'.

And if it's on the japanese version, what's the goal ? It'll be difficult to understand some questions in the game and some sentences.

I have already some difficulties with english...

mjs can probably answer you question better (he's the judge) but from what i understand it you must use the wbml version, so ace's recording in wbmlb (as well as being in a bad mame version you must use wolf94 or it must playback in wolf94) will probably be disqualified. Sorry this wasn't clear to begin with but the mame name in marp wbml was still stared at the start of the tournament so we could only use wbmlb, although we noted you must use the wbml version even though you needed to submit as wbmlb. That's all cleared up now so you can use wbml and submit as wbml, but you stil may need to know a little japanese :)

1) Ace13's inp is invalid because he played wbmlb instead of wbml. I've already e-mailed him about it and I hope he doesn't mind recording again for the correct set.

2) I voted for the original (parent set) because it was emulated recently and there were no submissions for this game, and besides this one does not have the leeching issues the bootleg has.

3) Not to offend anyone, but the first time I finished this game was when I was very young and I couldn't read english, so I don't think the language really matters.

PS. Even though Ace13 played the bootleg, I suggest you watch his recording because it is very good. I learned a great trick from it and helped me remember other tricks we used to do in the arcade.
