Pulling ideas out of thin air again, are we?

Anyway, dying near the end of stage 1 appears to set the restart point right at the end, not giving the game any time to update the time display (it only updates it during game time) before entering the area between stages. The time will have been reset to 100 after dying, it just hasn't had a chance to update the display.

Interesting note - after that death, the round counter went up to 2... why? Who knows...
