I've been talking with Diabolik about finding a better scoring system for this game, than just holes completed within the 30 shoots you get on default.

The game have 16 different courses, and you can freely select the order you want to do them in. When a course is completed you can play it again, and it might change a little bit.

I admit its difficult to find a scoring system to this game. Diabolik thinks its impossible to complete all 16 courses once with only 30 shoots.

I want to use this pre-poll talk to hear opinions on two things in this game:

1. Does anybody disagree that its almost impossible to at least complete all courses once with only 30 shoots? Should we stick to the default on 30 shoots, or decide in a poll if we want 35 or 40 shoots?

2. Scoring system, as said I think its hard to find a perfect scoring system for this game, but maybe if we only allow all courses to be completed once, we could use these:

If completed then; 1600 + (shots left x 10)
If not completed; courses completed x 100

Then I would suggest that we make it a rule that all players must start at course one, and work their way through. That way its easier for confirmers to see how many courses a player completed.

Opinions please. Other ways of scoring this game, anything :)

But is it possible to start at course #1? I can only use the course select feature after I have completed the first random course.

It's very hard and nothing more.
I think here is more very hard games (almost impossible to finish with 1 credit) and no change optons is need for it. For example Cybattler, SD Gundam Neo Battling.
I believe that it's possible to complete 16 tracks with 30 shots only when I see it :)
You want to made game easier because is hard for you?icon_wink.gif
Of course not. :) We don't want to make it easier. All that we want is a reasonable scoring system for this crappy old game.

Yes half true. You can change the course after your first shot on the first random course. So do we want to allow players to jump from course 12 to 15 or others? I think its easier for confirmers when they are being played in the right order.

It seems there's not much interest in this as Diabolik calls it crappy old game :)

But I still think we need some kind of Special Rules for the game, but maybe we should stick to the 30 shoots. Diabolik, what do you think, should we use the above special rules with the default 30 shoots, and see what happens? Maybe the number of shoots can be increased sometime in the future.

Yeah, I'd be happy with that.

But I still didn't quite understand what order do you want the courses to be played. Do you want that after the first shot on random course we jump to course #1 and start playing there? No more course-select allowed? This of course means that we have only 29 shoots for 16 tracks, unless the first random track is track #1. Right?

Please explain to the slow-witted. :)

I don't think I explained it properly, so its me that's slow-minded :)

I just think people should start at the random course, and then continue in that order, without jumping. So you get your 30 shoots :)

How's that?

Sounds good. This is of course a little bit harder for confirmers.
