Elections 2004 - Nominations

Post by gameboy9 »

Hmmm... thanks for reminding me John. But I'm going to have a separate thread.

You heard him. :) It's time to nominate coordinators for the following positions:

Regulation Coordinator
O The TJT
X Pat Laffaye

Tournament Coordinator
X QRS
O Skito

3 MAME Championship Coordinators
O Frankie
O Metrackle
O Pat Laffaye
X Diabolik
X QRS
X Gameboy9

Week Challenge Championship Coordinator
O Phil Lamat

Olympiad Coordinator (2nd MAME Olympiad is next year)
O Gameboy9
X Skito

Time Trial Coordinator (if such exists anymore :) )
O Gameboy9
X Destructor

? = Unknown - X = Rejected - O = Accepted

You have until November 21, 2359 GMT to make your nominations. Oh yeah... you can also nominate yourself. Anybody who is nominated must accept or reject the nomination by November 24, 2359 GMT.

I'll keep the "scoreboard" here as the nominations progress.

Hmmmm... let me see...

Well, I guess I'll nominate Phil again for WCC...
Skito for Tournament again... he did a great job last year in my opinion...
Frankie and Metrackle for MAME Championship (Destructor... you're not coordinating this year right? Otherwise, I nominate you too.)

I think I'll keep it at that for the time being.

I don't want to coordinate Knockout. I want to play in Knockout. I will not play (probably, not for sure) in T tournament and WCC tournament. More time for GEGOTW, if Weehawk start it in next year.

My nominations:
1. Knockout - Frankie as chief
2. Tournament - QRS
3. WCC - Phil Lamat
4. Olympiad - Skito
5. Time Trial - gameboy9

If no Time Trial in next year then gameboy9 for Olympiad and Skito for Tournament.

PS. This is 2004 nominations or 2005?

It will be for 2005 offices. They actually take over when the election expires sometime in December. I think it's like the 10th of December.

Here are my nominees:

Regulation Coordinator: Pat Laffaye
3 MAME Championship Coordinators: diabolik, Gameboy & QRS

The last positions already have the players nominated that I would have nominated for them :)

Week Challenge Championship Coordinator:Phil Lamat
Olympiad Coordinator (2nd MAME Olympiad is next year):Gameboy9
Time Trial Coordinator (if such exists anymore ): Gameboy9

btw, should we really vote for WCC, Olympiad and Timetrial? I mean it's their invention! To vote for someone else on these tourneys would be the same to say that someone else would run GEGOTW!!

Anyway, I still vote for the "inventors" as they have done a great job!

And another thing...due to too much in real life, I reject any nomination. Beeing an editor and manage real life is more than enough right now. Thanks for the nominations though :)

I think the spirit of the election rules state I can only go for one position. I don't know if that's a real rule - but I'm going to sorta follow that spirit. Therefore, I, AT LEAST FOR NOW(I have until the 24th :) ), accept the Olympiad nomination and reject the other two.

Destructor: I'd like you to consider coordinating the Time Trial competition. Because of the way I set up the rules last year, you can participate as well as coordinate... which I think was your objection to coordinating MAME Championships... but I could be wrong. I nominate you for this position. And maybe you can get more participation than I did last year... heh. :)

Heh, thanks gameboy but I reject all nominations. I can be helpfull in some tournamets (check inps and etc.) but official I don't want coordinate nothing in year 2005. All my time will be for GEGOTW and bounty on TG, no time for coordinating. I must win money for new PC and for some other things (I can't do it with my low salaray).

PS. Only one tournament on MARP where I will participate will be Knockout. Maybe I meet with BBH in final

PS2. Then wait for year 2006 :)

PS3. Time Trial isn't popular. But I have some ideas for fastest inps. I talk about similar thing with people which prepare scoreboard for Poland.

i accept tournament and decline olympiad. des: are you sure you want to ask john if he will keep doing gegotw before comiting that will be what you will be spending your time on? last i heard he will do X more games and that's it. maybe that just means X more games in 2004, but i dunno.

I have some really cool ideas (at least i think so) for T9, need to work on them some more before telling.

Okey dokey Destructor. Then I will accept the Time Trial nomination then. I fear I'll have to use my own website to run that though... as MARP doesn't support timed games very well. I will welcome your ideas when the time comes. (there will be a thread to schedule events when the elections are over)

I will reject the Knockout nomination... as I should let others run other stuff every once in a while. :) I also have my own website I'm still trying to develop... but I'll talk about that in another thread at another day. :)

Hahaha... that's my Louie Lobster. Come on... what's with a little cuteness around here?! :)

Maybe I should nominate you for something as punishment. ;)

EDIT: OK... fine. I uploaded Dragon Warrior's Blue Dragon instead. Happy now? :P
