WCC4 week 3 : DRIFTO94
Time for racing !!
With a little practice, it's not too hard to qualify in each race (total : 14 races).
Then all will be optimization of times ... who will be the first under the 10 minutes ??
Read carefully the "special rules" link before starting (I've updated it a little this afternoon)

I have problem with speed if frameskip is set to 0, average speed >96%. On dark stage I have speed below 90% almost all time. On some stages I have below 90% sometimes too
Is good this score or for DQ?
With alpha70 I have bigger problem with speed than with wolf88.
I can enable frameskip 3 but then game isn't smoothly and I can't control car precisely.
Bad choice for me in this round
I will try with fs 3 probably.
PS. Speed during playback 75-95%. Heh.

From Nanni : Total Time 10.24.07 - HUGE room for improvements ... @sawys why dont try other route ? RDTSC timing, High thread priority, no sound
Answer :
I found the good ones but i can't play till tonight or tomorrow.
I could do with my best races ---> 10'01"13
And cumulating with the best races of other players in the excel file --> 10'00"89
I will do my best if i had time till tuesday but if not, i will be back with this game sooner

I ask a few hours before end of 1 bonus round and nothing.sawys wrote:2 - Is your score good for bonus point or not ? Phil, where are you ?
Average speed or minimum speed? Please write it precisely on WCC page.2. input speed must be over 95%
I use RDTSC timing in inp as attachment. I have problems only on 'night' stage. Please check it.
My best theorical time, in "championship mode", is 9'55"20sawys wrote: I could do with my best races ---> 10'01"13

But i need continuity in all races of a game...

I have problem with connect to MARP. This score is 164017, time 9:59:83, nosound, RDTSC, frameskip 0.
Some problems with speed on 'night' stage.
Average speed 99%.
PS. Still no answer from Phil.
[EDIT]
OK. I edited my score in MARP scoreboard.

At the hospital (one of my twin was ill ; his health is better now).sawys wrote: Phil, where are you ?
As rules say on http://perso.wanadoo.fr/plamat/wcc.html, I'm only looking general speed which has to be >95%.
So there should be no problem with all your inputs, at least for WCC (I'll check and confirm later today).
Congrats, I was sure some players could do under 10 minutes
Can you confirm me that 2 first bonus points are for Des ?
Did someone has compare inputs and list best time for each race ?
so that I can update my xls file

Sorry Des but Phil must absolutely watch your inp to decide if you can have the 1st bonus or if it is medestructor wrote:Yes, first 2 bonus points are for me.

To be objective, i don't agree with you cos the inp you post show that you play one of the stage all under 95 % (recorded speed in wolfmame).

1. I think that rule is rule. My average speed is over 96%.Phil Lamat wrote:As rules say on http://perso.wanadoo.fr/plamat/wcc.html, I'm only looking general speed which has to be >95%.

2. 'Night' stage is very easy.
When I train each stage I didn't observe speed . But when I record my first finished inp and next watch it I saw that speed was lower. I don't use cheats. I didn't know about this low speed. I'm sorry but this was not on purpose.
I didn't have more time to play in this day because I go to drink vodka

Phil has finally decision of course.
I know, this low speed on some stages can be controversial but if rule is rule I don't want back to this:

PS. Thank Sawys for hint with RDTSC.
Your welcome but i found it when i had problem to play with every game in Mame.destructor wrote: PS. Thank Sawys for hint with RDTSC.
My computer had problem and the only way to have the good speed was to core the RDTSC to play or to record.
And even if the game was at 100% in Mame, in reality it wasn't at the good speed !! A curiosity of my computer ^^
So now i always play with RDTSC cored to prevent speed problem.
