BIG RAMPAGE PLAYBACK PROBLEM!

OK - let's check the damage...

Phil Lamat played back to 60,230
Barry played back to 19,075
Barthax played back to 22,550
Diabolik played back to 63,360
Blost played back to 19,375
TJT played back to 23,100
Sawys played back to 43,075

One recording played back correctly. I tried a number of methods - they all wound up at the same result.

Find a way to play this stuff back or find another game. I think it's plain and simple to me!

The Rampage Judge... who's a bit in a rampage himself! :)

maybe we just need another rampage judge? :) they appear to playback ok for me in xp with fullscreen and window, with and with out sound. will try 98 later.

Only different thing I've done is use -ctrlr for easy use of player 3 controls. Played back fine without the -ctrlr switch though. I played back one of Sawys' earlier inps too, without a problem.

Well I've tried everything. Moved everything to a new folder, started from scratch... wolfmame80, wolfmame82, nothing.

Oh well... guess I'll have to retire.

very strange, all i can think of is resolution, rampage usually goes into hires 1XXXxXXX and might playback differently if it's not that? If you really can't playback games that sort of makes judging a bit difficult, i'll take over in a few weeks after you are 100% sure you can't playabck these....

My results:

Diabolik 74,445 (as advertised)
Blost 19,375 (same as Gameboy)
TJT 23,100 (same as Gameboy)
Barry 19,075 (same as Gameboy)
Phil 60,230 (same as Gameboy)
Sawys 43,075 (same as Gameboy)

I can't find a link to Barthax's inp...it's not at:
http://marp.retrogames.com/inp/pm_t8-ra ... wolf80.zip
like it seems it ought to be.

Anyway, this may be a .63 bug/Win98/XP type thing.

I seem to be able to play my own recordings on it just fine.

just verified i get most of the same results when i play these back in win98, they still work fine with xp for me, so it is a xp/98 thing, but my 98 is weehawks xp. Can someone give me the marp link to diaboliks recording, so i can confirm that i can playback one recording with 98, didn't get a upload email for that one and i still can't see any other t8 recordings except for doubledrs. that should be fixed when zwaxy gets back.

I recorded and attached inps made with wolf80 and alphamame62.

rampage80 should play to 32600
rampage62 should play to 39725

If everyone can play back .62 but not .80 perhaps we should substitute another game or require alphamame62 for this one.

Double-checked. 32,600 here.

Must be desyncing right at the end. (and doing better)

Oh well.

Gameboy, If you can playback all recordings of double dragon we can swap judging? you doubledr me rampage?

No way we're replacing rampage, since i can playback all of the recordings after double booting win98 or winXp.

I'll let you know within the next nine hours. I can tell you this doesn't happen with all MAME games... which is a good sign.

Yeah, Double Dragon looks to playback OK.

I'm up for swapping.
