Gaming jobs?

Something that never gets discussed here: gaming jobs. I've always wanted to program games, but I could never get my foot in the door... but I can always keep trying. 
I wonder if there's any gaming jobs around anywhere in a zone between Harrisburg, PA and Northern Virginia (including Frederick, Hunt Valley, and Baltimore, MD, and Washington DC.)
