I wasn't going to reply to this until I saw the current poll results.

There are others here who especially the past year have brought up far more gaming issues than I have. I think all would agree the gaming issues I brought up were legit issues for those games.

Heck, the only issue I actually brought up that bugged Novice was the Cameltry one..and he 100% instigated that cuz he was asking us even before he started the whole thing if this or that would be allowed. He knew before he even did it it wasn't honestly playing the game...yet wanted to stir up trouble for some reason.

The whole Outrun thing wasn't even brought up by me...but for some reason I got tagged with it.

Notice how peaceful it has been around here the past few months....until Novice returns....yet I get tagged as the scourge?

Current MARP has very few uploads which worth to download and see.

Team2ch's stop to upload unseen skill any more.

I do not know "HE" is worthy player or not.
but I certain MARP lost many good players and good plays.

I feel MARP become boring place. very good replayers are gathering other place now.
The reason "why MARP does not have any troubles for several month",
it is very simple. there are no worthy replay. no trouble. no wonder.

I do not know everything.
but many "Quality over Quantity style player" removed all theirs.
especially "burning force" and "rompers" top was gamest record holder of those games.

disappoints this type of player is enough to be called as "scourge".

"unseen tricks"? I watched replay files to exactly see the trick if I wasn't already aware of it.

Nothing was "unseen" by me.

My average points earned per score is 82 points. I would hardly call that submitting a ton of poor scores to just build up LB points. Also, I'm sure you have overlooked it, but in a couple cases recently I have voted on things or brought up issues that would result in my having to delete my own score for the game. I don't defend my LB points at all. Do I have any scores submitted for Outrun? NO...and likely never will. If I just wanted to pad LB points I would have scores for that submitted...whether good or not...whether using trick or not.

I'm guessing that's because they want anything the game allows to be legit in the gameplay. They don't like the MARP rules. MARP had decided long before I came along that MARP didn't want an anything goes policy. Again I am only one out of many members that vote on these things. I by myself can't pass or make decisions about squat. MARP decides it.

I actually think most of those "replayers' you refer to are submitting scores elsewhere that don't require wolfmame. It seems since alphamame then wolfmame came around and is strongly recommended for submissions for those using PCs many of those gamers have complained about it and aren't submitting scores anymore.

Do they realize how suspicious that looks? If they are truly as skilled as their big heads think they are, then using wolfmame to set incredible scores shouldn't be a problem for them at all....so BRING IT!

There are tricks in many other games that MARP has decided to ban...when I wasn't even a member yet to vote etc.

A gamer with great skill will set the high score on the game regardless of what specific rules or specific MAME build is required so why they moan then leave MARP is beyond me.

Actually there have been a fair number of issues...but all well discussed and then voted on in a civil and respectful manner.

The MARP forums have been far more peaceful the past few months with you not around.

You actually were pretty cordial versus your typical self in your last post so I do give you a few props for that.

I think you SEVERELY underestimate some of the skills of the Japanese players. I also think you are being insulting to them.

Many of the gamest/arcadia records are on video tape for everyone to see. Unlike many people at TG who refuse to show their TOP SECRET SPECIAL TACTICS for games that are over 15 years old, the top Japanese players frequently announce a record, then sell the video tape replay for anyone who wants to watch. I have seen such tapes and Japan has players that are so good it is simply amazing.

I hope that these players will continue to make replays so we all can watch them. I think accusing them of cheating then saying "bring it" is not the best way to encourage them to submit replays to marp.
