It says it all !!!
Here we go...........

LET THE CLONE WARS COMMENCE!... though this time I won't try to start it off as I inadvertently did with Gauntlet Mania ^^;;Cicca wrote:It says it all !!!Here we go...........
Why wait until now? Road Blasters has been in MAME for ages...Mr. Kelly R. Flewin wrote:[Who is looking forward to actually trying Road Blasters... and wondering if Aaron's gonna find even more Klax versions]
You sure did start that one off. It sure was impressive though to watch some of the peoples' scores just start taking off into the stratosphere. It'll likely happen again whether you start it off or not. I was actually really enjoying all the various battles on the romsets, at least until a couple people seemed to really get the feel for the game and post some incredible scores! I still can't get past level 13...Mr. Kelly R. Flewin wrote: LET THE CLONE WARS COMMENCE!... though this time I won't try to start it off as I inadvertently did with Gauntlet Mania ^^;;

I very much doubt you will be able to Dax. Only ever worked on older mames. I expect the same will apply to APB as well.Dax wrote: I was hoping to post some 720 scores as Ive gotton pretty good at it using the mouse. I still can't get it to playback. Ive tried no sound and frameskip 0 etc... I got the originals to playback using an old version of mame but no luck on these new clones . Anyone know how I can these to playback?
Yep, you're right. Seems like it might be a sound issue. When I turn the sound off I can't insert a credit for either of these games. As if it needs that toll of the bell sound, when a credits inserted.DRN wrote:I expect the same will apply to APB as well.
That got me one step closer. I actually got 720, and APB to start without sound, but the game was unplayable and uncontrollable and often crashed back to the demo screen. Come to think of it, it behaves just like it does when you try to playback a recording with sound on.mahlemiut wrote:Coin inputs are controlled by the sound CPU, which isn't emulated when you disable sound. Use Free Play instead. (I'm assuming it's the same as for Gauntlet and other Atari games)
