Which is very odd, since it worked perfectly fine for me before I uploaded.
But, I digress. I'll attach my mame.cfg along with this thread, in hopes this resolves issues.
Also,
System Info: O/S: Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 1
Memory: 1 Gig DDR 400
CPU: 2-Intel @~2804.62MHz
I'm almost wondering if this is a Windows Issue.

Mame.cfg is for DOS.

This one plays for me too.
Chad, if you have a chance, why don't you try this. I have a feeling it will play on your win98 machine but not your XP machine.
Maybe someday we can figure out the common denominator.

playsback fine in XP with -nom68k_c_core, does not playback with out it.
