quite simple, all told. tar finds the corner of a vector on the reactor level, and all enemies come out in a pattern. shooting from a stationary point he can destroy a continual stream of enemies. there are occasional deaths but he simply repeats the trick and continues to leech.
setting up the leech is the only real danger, as you have to position yourself near a wall and risk crashing in doing so. risk is minimal with some practice. enemies come out and because of your ship's positioning, the two streams of them merge into a single stream for your easy killing pleasure.
looks like this trick was corrected in 'cchasm', later revision of the game.
vote to ban means a vote in favor of 'not allowing players to hide near the wall and shoot'. avoiding doing so is very easy--it is almost impossible to 'accidentally' put yourself in this situation. not using this trick does not affect gameplay in any way--ie: it isn't an accidental leech in any way--or one that can be minimally allowed--you have to set this one up and once you do, you're pretty much home free.
