tar's cchasm1 recording

Post by Q.T.Quazar »

well, it's a wonderfully clever little trick, and exactly the kind of gameplay we prohibit at MARP. sit and leech.

i imagine tar knows this :)

i think a vote will have to go up on this soon, before we see scores in the ten millions on this game.

you can still download emulators off mame.dk, I think. I downloaded an older version of MAME32 from there a couple weeks ago or so. (which was definitely after the roms were removed)

Not easy, bullshit.
Illegal leeching, sure
Stay at one spot and fire, really fun to watch?

Why you waste my time? You should submit your stuff to tricks&bugs.

Arrgh

Leeching at one spot, not trying to proceed, no timer -banned at marp
Difficult or not, is irrelevant.

Someone remove that, ok.

Sorry Tar to spoil your fun, but you should know by now...

can't just remove it, no rule against it.

to remove it, we need a rule banning this technique. if tar agrees, we can simply add the rule and tar can record a new .inp.

if tar disagrees, this has to go to vote.

i think the outcome of the vote will be pretty obvious. tar?

"f) Point or life leeching is strongly discouraged, and banned on some games, as described in the banned techniques list. You cannot continuously gain points without some degree of risk and you must keep moving to complete a level."

yes, i know, Tommi. i wrote that page after all.

there is a question of degree of risk however.

what is tar's response? delete the recording or vote?

Has anyone completed mission alpha yet? Destoryed the core and escaped. I keep getting killed trying to escape.

I've completed mission alpha once, I think last time I played the game. But recording is gone with my old computer.

So nobody cares for tars leechfest... If there's a vote during next 2-3 weeks, put one ban from me there too.

I completed mission alpha on a home system called Vectrex.
Anyone like that emulator?
Games are:Ripoff ,SolarQuest , Star Castle Cosmic chasm.
Also: Bedlam (space zap) Minesweeper (asteroids)
two other well made cartridges called webwars and Fort of Narzod.
Plus others like vector pac-man ,berserk and scramble!
