upload submission file size limit?

I remember about a year ago in some post a note of the max size the submit script will accept was mentioned.

What was it? I tried a few searches of these forums and couldn't find it.

It very well might just be the server again...but given this zip archive is almost 600k(centipede inp...don't zip very well), I wondered if that is over the limit. I'll try again later cuz I thought other submissions I have done were larger than this one.

If I have one that's larger than the limit, what's the best/preferred way to approach it?

Should I just submit a "dummy" small archive with score etc. and then just have in the description some URL where I have put the file online?

Should I just link it in a forum post and some editor will properly submit it?

thanks.

I don“t think it is the filesize. If I remember corect, there is a zipped file of an Arkanoid type of game that is over 1.3meg uploaded on MARP.

Prolly Something else that is the problem.

Edit:It seems that the file is almost 1.7 meg and you can find it here:

the thread about largest .zip file can be found. not sure about .inp files...seems to me i've seen some over the 5 MB mark at MARP in the past...typically shooters, if i remember.

that URL is just talking about inp file sizes...not zip archive sizes to submit.

I'm pretty sure it's just the server....cuz I think I have uploaded larger ones in the past....and I haven't seen any new uploads go up since Abbe's...which was the latest when I tried hours ago.

What about those games listed a while back that had inp's that were over 30 megs compressed [3 in 1 sports game thingee?]

or am I just losing my marbles?
